Hi.

I’ve been thinking about making a blog for a couple months now and have finally decided to do it. To start off here’s a little about me…my name is Gillian. I just turned 20.

I am currently going to school to become an elementary school teacher. One day I hope to become a kindergarten teacher.

I have two siblings, a 21 year old brother and an 8 year old sister. Yes, I know that’s one huge age gap. I currently live with my mom and dad, but that will soon change. My sister is the light of my life, she is so much fun. It’s like having a daughter without the responsibilities haha. My mom is my best friend. Our relationship hasn’t always been the best, but within the past year we’ve grown so much closer.

I’m getting married in 97 days. I am marrying my best friend of seven years. His name is Vincent William Talbot. We’ve been dating for over 2 years. We have a lot of history and the cutest love story, but I’ll save that for another time. Vincent is a sailor in the US Navy and is currently deployed on the USS Carl Vinson. He’s been gone for 137 days so far (but who’s counting *wink*).

I work part time at Michaels, which is a craft store. Yes, I am super crafty! I love working there and hearing about other people’s projects and helping them follow through. My parents are both art majors, so the creativeness runs in the family.

I am a Christian, have been since I was little. I was raised in a Christian home where my parents worked for the church we were attending. I am proud to call myself a Christian and love Jesus with all my heart. Don’t worry I won’t shove Jesus down your throat, but I will always encourage following Jesus.

I struggle with depression and anxiety. I found out the fall of my senior year of high school. To this day, it’s still something I struggle with. On the outside, it may seem like I live a perfect, easy life…but on the inside it’s far from that. I decided to create a blog because one, it would help me release some emotions and two, I hope I can help someone who struggles with the same things I do everyday.

So that’s me. Welcome to my life.
